  • Loved the focus on family and marriage especially in a time where my marriage is on the brink of divorce. God really spoke to me.

  • Thank you for the strong emphasis on the Word — that was encouraging, inspiring, and also challenging — we talked a lot about how we will focus our family on knowing the Word, living the Word, and letting the truth of the Word shape our lives, relationships, and schooling.

  • We spent the car rides talking to each other about the sessions and even spent time passing on some of what we heard to our daughter this weekend. Thanks for having a spiritual emphasis, not just a logistical emphasis on home-schooling.

  • The Lord brought my husband and I even closer together and we came away even more fired up to continue his call to home educate our children!

  • We actually do not have kiddos yet as we prepare our family to adopt siblings (waiting on the Lord's timing to be matched), we moved to TN in hopes to be able to connect with community and this conference gave us more hope in being able to expand on a beautiful Christ centered community for our future kiddos.

  • He quite literally called my husband and I into action. We were sure we wanted to homeschool before the conference, but we move forward feeling CALLED and CONVICTED to do so. The conference forced us to face the state of our society - it’s a scary world right now. Homeschooling isn’t just a responsibility - it’s necessary to ensure our children are properly fed the word of God, and are equipped to go out into the world as disciples once their time with us is done.

  • I will add that my husband and I drove over an hour to the conference so we chose a date night and stayed in a local hotel. We had to go to a restaurant that stayed open late on Friday night so we could debrief our notes. It was such a special time for us. We had each already individually decided after hearing Heidi that night that we were going to homeschool, but to be able to discuss the details and the impact her words had on each of us separately was neat. My husband cried 5x the whole weekend and he doesn't usually cry. So there's that! :)

  • After 12 years of homeschooling, I needed encouragement that the seeds I am sowing today will produce good fruit for years to come. I needed conviction to keep doing the hard work of raising my kids in a godly way, so that I don’t become weary or lazy in the midst of difficulties. I was so blessed to hear Heidi’s stories, and what God has done in her family. And Michelle Bouse’s breakout session was so encouraging!

  • I loved connecting with homeschooling moms who I didn't already know. I had several moms come up after my breakout to talk and we will connect again!
